All submissions to our festival were an honor to watch. But a few stood above the rest and we want to recognize them here, as well as with some nice trophies!

Stagecoach Spirit Award
The Stagecoach Spirit award is awarded to those films that capture the spirit of the stagecoach, by taking us along for the ride through history.
Sheriff's Star
The Sheriff's Star is awarded in recognition of films that tackle deep social and political issues, thereby providing a guiding light for all of us. This award is given by the choice of the Sheriff (Director) of the festival.
Best Spanish/Latino Hispanic Stories
Awarded to the best of the category.
Best of Short Documentary
Awarded to the best of the category.
Best of Show (Judges Choice)
Awarded to the film with the highest judged rating.
Root & Tooting Good Award
The Root & Tooting Good Award is presented to a film that hits you in the gut with laughter, and the heart of emotion. Or even more simply put, is root and & tooting good!
Best of Stories of the Southwest
Awarded to the best of the category.
Best Music Video/Musical Performance
Awarded to the best of the category.
Pioneer Award
The Pioneer Award is presented to a film that shows the way how films should be done and done well. As well as exploratory of the inner spirit of ourselves through its excellent storytelling.
Audience choice
Awarded by audience vote.
Best of Western/Modern Western
Awarded to the best of the category.
Longhorn Award
Presented to a film that captures hearts, and minds, and takes life by the horns, the Longhorn Award is a wildcard choice.
66 Spirit Award
66 Spirit Award is awarded to those films within the Route 66 category that show a rocking rebellious spirit, mirroring the nature of the Mother road.
